Save yourself a table

You don’t know how many times I’ve been at a wedding reception and have seen the bride and groom (and sometimes the entire wedding party) not have a place to sit. You see, sometimes the bride and groom enter the reception hall after the guests have. This usually happens because the bride and groom are taking pictures, wanting alone time, or for any number of reasons.  So, by the time the bride and groom want to finally sit down, there are no more tables that have enough room for the whole bridal party or there are no free tables at all.

Just take a few minutes before the ceremony and leave a note on the table that indicates that it is reserved.  Try and pick a table close to the cake (for the toast later) and one that is not too close to buffet. Being not too close to the food will give you time to eat (trust me you will get plenty of “congratulations” as it is.)
